A couple was due at the airport to catch a flight for their vacation. Concerned that time was running short, they called the babysitter who was going to be watching their infant while they were gone. Hearing that the babysitter is on the way and was due there any second, the couple props the back door open for her and put the baby in its highchair. When the sitter got there, the wind had blown the door shut and there was no answer at the door. Assuming that the couple took the baby with them, the sitter left the house. When the couple got back home, they found the baby starved to death in its highchair. In some versions, the sitter is hit by a car and killed on the way there.
